Ministry & Volunteer Opportunities
Serving others is a core expression of our faith. At Gresham United Methodist Church, we offer many ways to share your gifts, support your neighbors, and help create a welcoming, caring church family. Whether you enjoy helping behind the scenes, offering hospitality, or supporting people in need, there’s a place for you to get involved.
Partnering with local schools and non-profits
Offer a warm welcome on Sunday mornings—greeting newcomers, assisting with directions, and helping foster a friendly atmosphere.
Support our sound, slides, livestream, and other tech needs that make worship accessible to both in-person and online participants. Training is provided.
Use your musical gifts to enrich worship through voice or bells. No formal training is required—just a desire to praise through music and serve joyfully.
Lay Servant Ministries
Explore your calling to lead, teach, or assist in worship. Lay servants support preaching, small groups, and other ministries within the church and community.
Care & Outreach Ministries
Share compassion and encouragement with those who need it most.
Help prepare casseroles, salads, or desserts for women at our local shelter. This ministry provides comfort, nourishment, and dignity to those in need.
Offer prayer, encouragement, and support to members who are ill, grieving, or homebound. Care Team volunteers make phone calls, send cards, and provide compassionate presence.
A community of women committed to spiritual growth, leadership, and service. UWF engages in mission work, advocacy, and supporting justice initiatives around the world.
