Gresham United Methodist Church is excited to partner with QuadW for a third year.  Interns in the the QuadW program will focus on engaging children from two area elementary schools in our summer program to help the children improve in reading, math, and writing skills. The Interns also assist in our music and arts enrichment programs, run outdoor recreational activities and aid in the breakfast and lunch programs. Interns assist in Vacation Bible School and work with a local transitional homeless shelter. In partnership with local congregations interns can expect to engage in community organization projects.


Our 2016 Interns experienced Spiritual Reflection Fridays.  They traveled to the Northwest mountains, oceans, trails and streams to focus on questions of faith, spiritual journey, life with Christ and vocational discernment. Oregon is a beautiful place for hiking, camping in old growth forest and walking beside salmon filled streams. Discovering God in the sacred landscapes is a Northwest spiritual practice. In 2017 interns can expect to find the same experience enjoying one another and finding solitude in God's creation.
